The series title Eight Views of the Land of the Morning Calm is a reference to the famous Eight Views of Korea, consisting of areas of scenic beauty or historical importance. Kurosaki takes a different tack with his eight views, providing us with "views" encompassing traditional Korean dress to pagodas.
