Ueda Fujō 上田富丈 [うえだふじょう] (1899-1979*)
BIOGRAPHY

B. 1899 in Kobe. Studied with Kitano Tsunetomi (1880-1947), Onchi Kōshirō (1891-1955), and Munakata Shikō (1903-1975). Exhibited with Banga-in, Nihon Hanga Kyokai, and in international exhibitions. Member of Japan Artists League. Ueda was also a published poet of haiku.
WorldCat lists two works by Ueda - A book or folio of prints titled Ueda Fujō Sōsaku Hangashū 1 (上田富丈創作板画集. 第1輯) published in Kōbe in 1956 by Gendai Hanga Kyōkai (現代板画協会) and a book of haiku and prints titled Ueda Fujō Haiku Hanga Sakuhinshū published in Kōbe by Gingasha (ギンガ社) in 1966.
* The artist's date of death as given on the website of Hyōgo Prefecture, which lists him as a "haiku poet."
